New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert dies at 45 after years of cancer treatment

Chad Gilbert, founding guitarist for pop-punk band New Found Glory, died Sept. 20 at 45. He had been treated for metastatic pheochromocytoma since 2021 and told People in April he had stage four adrenocortical carcinoma after doctors found three brain tumors. He underwent brain surgery. Family said he died peacefully in his sleep.
