Lithuanian Startup Launches 10,000-Node Acoustic Network to Detect Shahed Drones

A Lithuanian startup deployed an open-source acoustic sensor network across the Baltic region on 20 June 2026, targeting 10,000 distributed participants. The system addresses a gap exposed in 2025–2026: decoys and false alarms cost air defences dearly. Acoustic nodes lower marginal cost and enable geographic saturation beyond what commercial grids afford. Signal discrimination at scale remains the operational challenge.
