Three South Korean Officers Hurt in Western DMZ Blast

Three South Korean officers were wounded Sept. 21, 2026, in an explosion in the western Demilitarized Zone, the guarded buffer between the Koreas. Seoul's Joint Chiefs, the military command, confirmed the injuries. Two were flown by helicopter to a military hospital near Seoul; the third arrived there by land then air. The cause remains unclear, the Defence Ministry said.
