Three South Korean Officers Wounded in Western DMZ Explosion

Three South Korean military officers were wounded in an explosion September 21, 2026 in the western Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. Seoul's Joint Chiefs announced the injuries. Two were evacuated by helicopter, the third by land then air, to a military hospital near Seoul. The Defence Ministry said the cause was not immediately clear.
