Atlanta Journalist Deported After 100-Day Detention

Atlanta Spanish-language journalist Mario Guevara was deported to El Salvador after over 100 days in detention, mostly in isolation. The Emmy-winning Salvadoran ran his Atlanta Spanish-language outlet for nearly 20 years and was arrested covering a June 2025 'No Kings' protest, leaving his wife and children in the US. U.S. immigration agency DHS denies targeting him as a journalist.
