Pakistan Detains Imran Khan's Sister Ahead of PTI Islamabad March

Police in Lahore detained Aleema Khanum, sister of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, on Sept. 20 ahead of PTI protests. Police confirmed the detention to the BBC; Khan's PTI party called it "illegal detention." Khan has been in prison since 2023. PTI, his political movement, plans a march to the capital, Islamabad, on Sept. 27.
