Hillside Fire Burns 40 Hectares Above Villa de Leyva

A forest fire on Cerro San Marcos above Villa de Leyva, Boyaca, has burned 40 hectares of native, naturally growing, forest and was still active Sept. 19. Smoke is visible from the central square. Authorities say it threatens the town, which draws over a million visitors a year.
