Ukraine Says It Fired Homegrown Pelican Ballistic Missile for First Time

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukraine fired its homegrown Pelican short-range ballistic missile — a fast, hard-to-intercept weapon that arcs high before striking — in Sept. 20 attacks on Moscow and other parts of Russia. It is Kyiv's first acknowledged ballistic-missile use in the full-scale war. The Pelican's estimated range is about 350km, giving Ukraine a new home-built strike capability.
