Lib Dems would seek EU deals on trade rules and defence

Liberal Democrat deputy leader Daisy Cooper said the party would seek a Growth and Defence Partnership with the EU. She told the conference in Brighton it would cover the single market — shared trading rules — a customs union — common tariffs at the border — and defence. She said closer ties were the 'single biggest growth lever'.
