38 bills passed with no committee checks, a record

A record 38 bills became law in the 54th Parliament without select committee scrutiny, the detailed checks by small cross-party groups, after being put through under urgency, according to RNZ's The House. In the past five terms, most recent first, 29, 18, 16, 11 and 24 bills skipped that step.
