Record 38 bills passed with no select committee scrutiny

A record 38 bills passed through the 54th Parliament without select committee scrutiny after being taken under urgency, according to RNZ's The House. The figures show 29, 18, 16, 11 and 24 bills bypassed committees in the previous five terms, most recent first.
