Riot Police Break Up Violent Anti-Immigration Rally in The Hague

Dutch riot police broke up a far-right rally of about 500 people in The Hague's Malieveld park on September 19, 2026. The 'Wij zijn het volk' ('We are the people') protest opposed Dutch immigration policy. After officials banned a planned march and ordered dispersal, some demonstrators threw stones, bottles and heavy fireworks. Officers answered with baton charges and police dogs.
