Scottish Green MSP considered ending life over nerve pain

Scottish Green MSP Cara McKee said she considered taking her own life because of chronic pain from trigeminal neuralgia, a condition that causes severe facial pain. The BBC reported her account on 18 September. Ms McKee, who represents West Scotland at Holyrood, the Scottish Parliament, said she has since had brain surgery.
