Scottish Green MSP considered taking own life over chronic pain

Scottish Green MSP Cara McKee said she considered taking her own life because of chronic pain from trigeminal neuralgia. The BBC reported her account on 18 September. Ms McKee, who sits for West Scotland at Holyrood, the Scottish Parliament, said she has since undergone brain surgery.
