140 stalking charges laid since May, no convictions yet

Police have laid 140 charges under New Zealand's stalking law since it started in May, RNZ reports. Ministry of Justice figures show 19 of those charges have finished in court, all dropped before trial, with no convictions. The offence carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
