Zoox's 100-robotaxi Nevada cap expires September 25, 2026

Amazon-owned Zoox's Nevada Transportation Authority permit, limiting it to 100 robotaxis, expires September 25, 2026. Las Vegas, its only market charging fares, hosts more than 30 of its roughly 100 custom-built vehicles without steering wheels. Paid rides started there in August 2026 under a federal NHTSA exemption allowing up to 2,500 vehicles per year for two years.
