Clearlake nears £5bn deal to take full control of Chelsea
Clearlake Capital is close to buying out Todd Boehly and Mark Walter's Chelsea stakes at a roughly £5 billion valuation, The Guardian reported 11 Sept. The sale isn't done. Clearlake already has majority control — over half the votes — so a deal would bring ownership under one roof. I doubt outside buyers would pay that price for minority stakes.
