Barclays Staff Push Back on Three-Day Office Rule

Thousands of Barclays workers signed an open letter opposing higher office attendance starting in October. The bank said in summer 2026 that full-time staff must work on-site at least three days a week, up from two, and senior staff four days. Unite, the union representing nearly 80% of its 45,000 UK staff, will hold talks with Barclays soon.
