
Thousands of Barclays staff oppose three-day office mandate from October
Thousands of Barclays employees signed an open letter opposing plans to raise office attendance from October. The bank announced in summer 2026 that full-time staff must attend at least three days weekly, up from two, with senior staff required four days. Unite, the union for nearly 80% of Barclays' 45,000 UK staff, plans talks with Barclays in coming days.
