EU proposes under-13 social media ban, one-hour limit for young teens

The EU proposes barring under-13s from social media. Teens 13 to 15 would get one hour daily on 'mini accounts' linked to a parent or guardian. Only those 15 and up could open their own accounts. The EU Kids Act targets wellbeing and safety, but enforcement across 27 states is still to be negotiated.
