Canada Applies to Join UK-Led Rapid-Response Force

Canada has applied to join the Joint Expeditionary Force, the UK-led military partnership for rapid crisis response. The news came out of Prime Minister Mark Carney's first one-on-one meeting with Britain's Prime Minister Andy Burnham in Liverpool, during Carney's Sept. 15-17 trip to build closer ties with European partners.
