Canada Wants to Join UK-Led Emergency Defense Team

Canada has asked to join the Joint Expeditionary Force, a UK-led defense team that can quickly send help in a crisis. The request came up when Prime Minister Mark Carney met Britain's leader Andy Burnham for the first time in Liverpool, during Carney's Sept. 15-17 visit to grow closer ties with Europe.
