Pub vans exempt from taxi rules

The Government will exempt pub courtesy vans from passenger-service fees and licensing rules, the system that covers taxis. Regulation Minister David Seymour said vans that charged fares were treated like taxis. Transport Minister Chris Bishop said the change would help customers get home safely. The changes will be in place by mid-2027.
