Government to exempt pub courtesy vans from passenger-service rules

The Government says it will exempt hospitality courtesy-van services from passenger-service fees and licensing rules. Regulation Minister David Seymour said some operators were treated like taxi services if they took payment. Transport Minister Chris Bishop said the change would help get customers home safely. The Government says changes will be in place by mid-2027.
