House Passes Bill to Keep AM Radio Standard in New Cars

The House passed the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act on Sept. 15 by voice vote. The bill directs the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the federal auto-safety regulator, to require AM radio as standard, no-cost equipment in new cars, trucks and SUVs. It now heads to the Senate.
