House Passes Bill Requiring Free AM Radio in New Vehicles

The U.S. House passed the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act on Sept. 15 by voice vote. It directs the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to require AM radio as standard equipment at no additional charge in new cars, trucks and SUVs. The bill heads to the Senate.
