House Votes to Keep Free AM Radio in All New Cars

The House passed the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act on Sept. 15 by voice vote. It would require AM radio, the older free over-the-air signal, to come built-in at no extra cost in new cars, trucks and SUVs. The federal car-safety agency would make it required. It now goes to the Senate.
