Exiled Nicaraguan journalist detained by ICE in Florida

U.S. immigration agents detained Nicaraguan journalist Luis Galeano in Orlando on Sept. 14 while he was driving for Lyft, his wife said. As of Sept. 16, he was held at Miami's Krome detention center, with an immigration hearing set for Oct. 2, she said. Galeano fled Nicaragua in 2018 and had awaited a decision on asylum for about seven years.
