Nicaraguan reporter held by U.S. immigration officers in Florida

U.S. immigration officers held Nicaraguan reporter Luis Galeano in Orlando on Sept. 14 while he drove for Lyft, his wife said. On Sept. 16, he was at Krome holding center in Miami, with immigration court date Oct. 2, she said. He left Nicaragua in 2018 and had waited about seven years for an answer on U.S. safety.
