Luxon leaves Māori seats abolition open in MMP referendum

National leader Christopher Luxon would not rule out including abolition of the Māori seats, reserved for Māori voters, in his MMP referendum, a vote on the voting system. He told RNZ constitutional policy would come closer to the election as part of justice policy. The Prime Minister's office did not answer repeated RNZ questions on timing and scope.
