Luxon won't rule out public vote on ending Māori seats

National leader Christopher Luxon would not rule out asking voters whether to end the Māori seats, kept for Māori voters, in a referendum, like a survey, on how we vote. He told RNZ his government-rules plan would come closer to election as part of justice policy. The Prime Minister's office did not answer repeated RNZ questions on timing and scope.
