Hacking Group Leaks Stolen Florida Driver and Vehicle Records After Ransom Refused

Hundreds of thousands of files stolen from Florida's DAVID driver and vehicle database were published by ShinyHunters after the state refused to pay ransom. The leak includes ownership certificates with names, addresses and VINs, or vehicle ID numbers, plus a smaller set with Social Security numbers and passports. State agency FLHSMV confirmed the breach, first accessed in early September 2026.
