Two Army Officers Cleared Over Handling of Beck Assault Complaint

Col Samantha Shepherd and Maj James Hook were cleared of conduct prejudicial to good order, a military discipline offence, after their court martial in Catterick collapsed on day three. It concerned their handling of Gunner Jaysley Beck's sexual assault complaint. Beck, 19, was found dead in Wiltshire in December 2021, five months after assault by a superior.
