Two Army Leaders Cleared in Case About Soldier's Assault Report

Col Samantha Shepherd and Maj James Hook were cleared of failing in their duties after their military court trial in Catterick ended early on day three. It examined how they handled Gunner Jaysley Beck's sexual assault report. Beck, 19, a junior soldier, was found dead in Wiltshire in December 2021, five months after assault by a higher-ranking soldier.
