Breville Eye Q toasts by shade, not timer

Breville's Eye Q toaster browns bread by measured color rather than a timer, which Engadget called the world's first color-based toaster. Optical sensors — light-based detectors — check the slice 10 times per second and stop at one of seven chosen shades. A motor lowers the bread, replacing the manual lever.
