Entain Plans 400 UK Support Job Cuts, Citing Higher Gambling Taxes

Entain, which owns Ladbrokes and Coral, said Sept. 16 it has begun consultation — formal talks required before UK layoffs — on cutting 400 of its 2,000 UK customer-care jobs. The London-based group, with over 28,000 staff worldwide, says the one-in-five cut responds to higher gambling taxes.
