U.S. visa restrictions target alleged discrimination against Afrikaners
Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Sept. 15 that the U.S. will deny visas to people accused of discriminating against Afrikaners, a white minority group in South Africa, inciting violence, or supporting land confiscation without payment. No names were listed. South Africa denies persecuting white people or confiscating land. The U.S. Embassy called it a first step.
