Oxford Challenge to Parthenon Optical Correction Theory

Oxford mathematician Alain Goriely argues the Parthenon's gentle curves were not meant to correct vision, in a paper in Royal Society Open Science. The 6cm rise in the base and 18mm swell in columns exist, he says, but the visual effects they supposedly fix are either flawed or too small to see.
