Oxford mathematician says Parthenon has no optical corrections

University of Oxford mathematician Alain Goriely concludes the Parthenon's subtle curves were not optical corrections. In Royal Society Open Science, he argues the supposed illusions are either nonsense or practically imperceptible. The 6cm rise in the base and 18mm bulge in columns are real, he says, but not visual compensation.
