Parthenon's Curves Were Not Eye Tricks, Mathematician Says

Oxford mathematician Alain Goriely says the Parthenon's slight curves were not eye tricks. Writing in Royal Society Open Science, he says the supposed illusions don't hold up or would be too tiny to notice. The base does rise 6cm and columns do bulge 18mm, but not to help vision, he argues.
