Black Wreath Hits $1m Goal to Save Alice Springs Venue

Black Wreath has raised its $1m crowdfunding goal after a month-long effort to buy Alice Springs' only dedicated live music venue and hold it in a community trust. Gifts ranged from $20 to $10,000 from across Australia. It is still unclear if $1m will buy the building, but the approach could help sustain arts spaces in remote towns.
