Town Raises $1 Million to Save Its Music Hall

Alice Springs' Black Wreath has collected $1 million from people across Australia to try to buy the town's only concert hall and keep it for locals. Donations ran from $20 to $10,000 over one month. It is not yet certain the money will secure the building, but shared ownership could keep arts alive in faraway places.
