Human Remains Recovered in Grand Canyon After August Flash Flood

National Park Service staff recovered human remains Sept. 14 near Crystal Rapids on the Colorado River in Grand Canyon National Park. The find came more than two weeks after an Aug. 29 flash flood in Bright Angel Canyon. The remains were sent to the Coconino County Medical Examiner, the office that confirms identity. The Park Service has not identified them.
