SpaceX targets Sept. 22 for first Starship orbital attempt

SpaceX plans to launch Starship on Sept. 22 in a first attempt to reach orbit, Space.com reported Sept. 15. The vehicle combines the Starship spacecraft, the top stage, and Super Heavy booster, the bottom stage. SpaceX says the fully reusable system — both parts fly again — is designed to carry crew, cargo and over 100 metric tonnes to orbit.
