Egypt, Saudi Urge Safe Red Sea Passage

Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met Mohammed bin Salman in Cairo on Sept. 15, 2026. Egypt’s president backed Saudi calls for safe, unblocked Red Sea travel. The Saudi crown prince stressed security in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb Strait, the narrow southern exit. Egypt said both support free, secure shipping.
