Egypt's Sisi Backs Saudi Call for Secure Red Sea Navigation in Cairo

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Cairo on Sept. 15, 2026. El-Sisi backed Saudi calls for secure and unhindered navigation in the Red Sea. Mohammed bin Salman emphasized secure navigation in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait and Red Sea. The Egyptian presidency said both supported freedom and security of maritime navigation.
