Egypt and Saudi Want Safe Red Sea Ships

Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met Mohammed bin Salman in Cairo on Sept. 15, 2026. Egypt’s president agreed ships should travel the Red Sea safely without blockages. Saudi Arabia’s crown prince stressed the same for the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb Strait, the narrow southern doorway. Egypt says both support free, safe passage.
