
UK Lawyers Say Settlement Ban Falls Short of World Court Obligations
More than 130 legal experts, including 18 king's counsel — senior advocates — wrote to Prime Minister Andy Burnham that Britain's import ban on Israeli settlement goods falls short. The ban, announced 8 September by Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, they argue, fails duties under the International Court of Justice's 2024 advisory opinion ruling Israel's occupation unlawful.
