Khalil Sues Columbia, Trustees and Dean Over Alleged Bias Against Palestinian Students

Mahmoud Khalil announced Sept. 14, 2026, he is suing Columbia University, its trustees and SIPA Dean Keren Yarhi-Milo in federal court. Filed with the Palestine Working Group, it alleges institutional racism and deliberate indifference — failure to act — toward harassment of Palestinian students. It seeks lifted suspensions, restored access, damages and a bar on future discrimination.
