Mahmoud Khalil sues Columbia, alleging bias against Palestinian students

Mahmoud Khalil announced Sept. 14, 2026, he is suing Columbia University, its trustees and SIPA Dean Keren Yarhi-Milo in federal court, alleging institutional racism and deliberate indifference to harassment of Palestinian students. Filed with the Palestine Working Group, it seeks lifted suspensions, restored access, damages and a bar on future discrimination.
